Defend’s Mail-In Spore Testing products and services are now a part of Mesa Labs. Mesa has been providing Mail-In Sterilizer Monitoring services to Mydent under the Defend name for several years. Defend will no longer be selling Mail-In Sterilizer Monitoring services. Do not worry: All Defend Kits purchased will be honored by Mesa. Mesa purchased only the Mail-In rights from Mydent and thus, the sale and service of all their other product lines will continue as normal and are not affected in any way by the acquisition of the Mail-In business.
Mesa and Mydent (Defend) will continue to work closely together to ensure this change is as seamless as possible. Ensuring our customers maintain compliance is our top priority! This is what to expect.
- Defend branded spore tests will continue to be processed and results reported during the transition. Past results will continue to be available.
- Users will create a new online account with Mesa which will provide access to our industry leading Anytime Compliance Tracking system with many tools to enhance your sterilizer monitoring protocol.
Mesa provides spore testing products and services DIRECTLY to dentists. We do this because direct communication allows for better service, faster response, and improved compliance for our customers. When reordering spore testing services, you will reorder directly from Mesa.
